THE HOST

Chris Duffy

is a comedian and writer who hosts the TED podcast HOW TO BE A BETTER HUMAN, which premiered this year as the #3 podcast in the country. Chris wrote on both seasons of WYATT CENAC’S PROBLEM AREAS on HBO, executive produced by John Oliver, and writes the popular weekly newsletter BRIGHT SPOTS. Chris’ writing has been featured in The New Yorker, The Boston Globe, National Geographic Glimpse, Makeshift Magazine, and The California Sunday Magazine.

THE EXPERT

Chiara Mingarelli

is a gravitational-wave astrophysicist based at the University of Connecticut, with  a joint appointment at Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Astrophysics, where she is an Associate Research Scientist. Previously, Mingarelli was a Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellow at the California Institute of Technology, and at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy, and a Flatiron Fellow.

THE PANEL

Emily Heller 

is a comedian who tells jokes on TV a lot, including shows like Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, and @midnight. She is also an award-winning television writer. most recently lending her skills to shows like Barry, Search Party, Medical Police, and People of Earth. 

Naomi Ekperigin 

is an actor, stand-up comedian and writer who has appeared on TruTV, VH1, MTV, FX, and HBO. Her Comedy Central Half Hour special premiered October 2016. She has written for Comedy Central’s “BroadCity”, Hulu’s “Difficult People” and NBC’s “Great News”.  A regular on the hit podcast 2 Dope Queens, you can watch her on episode four of the 2 Dope Queens HBO special.

Josh Gondelman 

is an Emmy and Peabody award-winning writer, producer, and stand-up comedian. He is currently a supervising producer and writer for Desus & Mero on Showtime. He was previously a writer on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. He is also known for co-creating the parody Twitter account @SeinfeldToday.
