Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) is one of the world’s largest speedrunning events, bringing together millions of viewers to raise money for charity through the joy of games. Since 2024, LabX has partnered with Games Done Quick to bring real scientists into the stream—connecting gameplay moments to the science, psychology, and technology behind the games we love.

What started as a single collaboration has grown into an annual tradition.

Why LabX at AGDQ?

LabX exists to make science feel human, accessible, and worth caring about. AGDQ does the same for games—turning deep expertise into entertainment while building an inclusive, curiosity-driven community.

AGDQ’s live format creates a rare opportunity: scientists can show up not as lecturers, but as fans—meeting audiences where they already are. By embedding science conversations directly into speedruns, LabX helps transform moments of play into moments of discovery.

This alignment is why LabX is committed to participating in AGDQ on an annual basis.
