🚀 Never Give Up, Never Surrender: Galaxy Quest Under the Stars!
Grab your Thermians, calibrate your communicators, and activate the Omega 13 because we’ve saved you a seat on the lawn at the National Academy of Sciences in DC for an interstellar movie night featuring the ultimate sci-fi comedy adventure: Galaxy Quest!
Join us under the stars (real stars, not the cardboard-and-glitter kind) for a night filled with quotable one-liners and the heroic (but entirely laughable) escapades of actors who mistakenly became actual space adventurers. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and best Alan Rickman impressions as we journey from the comfortable confines of Earth to the perilous excitement of outer space (well…sort of).
Whether you’re a dedicated Quester, an aspiring crew member of the NSEA Protector, or just someone who believes there’s no problem that a good catchphrase can’t solve, this outdoor movie night is your chance to relive the glory days of fictional space exploration, minus the existential dread.
When: June 18th 2025 @ 8PM (Doors open at 7 for you to set up!)
Where: Lawn of the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, D.C. (If we move indoors because of weather, you’ll still need blankets and lawn chairs)
Cost: Free (Because by Grabthar’s hammer, what a savings!)
Movie begins at 8pm when the sun goes down. RAIN OR SHINE: WE HAVE AN INDOOR OPTION IN CASE THE WEATHER DOES NOT COOPERATE!
Remember: It’s just a movie, unless aliens show up and believe otherwise—then it’s a documentary. See you on the lawn! 🌌🍿
